Upgrade is always seeking special people to join its team. Positions include:

• Office staff of all levels - both part and full time. To apply, contact Nancy Berger (nberger@upgradeacademics.org)

• Tutors interested in working with urban youth in late afternoon, after-school hours, Monday through Friday, from 2:30pm to 6:00pm. Schedules can be flexible.  Teaching certification is desirable, but not necessary. Contact Kathleen Brady-Stepien (kathleen@upgradeacademics.org)

• Outreach staff interested in enthusiastically informing communities about free educational opportunities available to them.  To apply, contact Jodi Hamman (jodi@upgradeacademics.org)

• On-Call Staff to work on an as-needed basis, in a variety of urban settings.  The number of hours will vary depending on need, and will increase throughout the year for reliable candidates.  Staff must commit to time slots during which they will be available. Preference will be given to applicants experienced in dealing with at-risk populations.  Positions are available in the following areas:
  • Tutors
  • Community Interpreters (Spanish, Arabic, Karen, Burmese, Somali, and ASL)
  • Teacher’s Aides
